Spring Course Maintenance – IMPORTANT

You may notice that many of our courses are partially closed, or under repair for essential maintenance.

At OGC, we’re all about delivering the best possible playing experience for our members, which means working closely with our partner clubs to keep every course in the collection in excellent condition.

As we move into spring, you may notice some courses are temporarily closed or operating with partial restrictions while essential seasonal maintenance takes place. This is a key time for greenkeeping teams to prepare the courses for the busy months ahead. Work such as aeration, overseeding, and topdressing helps bring the turf out of its winter slumber, improve drainage, and ensure greens are rolling true as the season gets into full swing.

You may also spot a bit of sand on the greens or some light disruption underfoot in the days following this work. It’s not the greenkeepers auditioning for a beach holiday, it’s all part of setting the course up for a fantastic spring and summer. While it can affect play very slightly in the short term, it pays dividends in the quality of the surfaces you’ll enjoy in the weeks ahead.

A quick reminder: before heading out for your next round, it’s always worth checking directly with the course for the latest playing conditions, or contacting our concierge team where applicable. That way, there are no surprises when you arrive (other than your mate suddenly finding form).

We really appreciate your patience during this period. A little early-season disruption goes a long way in ensuring the OGC Collection is in superb shape for the golfing months ahead.
